Job summary

HII is seeking a skilled pipefitter to install, modify, and repair piping systems from drawings, blueprints, and sketches. You will plan routing, determine elevations, and lay out pitches to ensure safe, efficient operation.

Responsibilities include installing risers, expansion joints, pumps, gauges, and regulators, testing joints for leaks, and verifying pressure with proper procedures. Candidates should have the listed education and US citizenship if required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and five years of additional education and/or related experience.
• Apprentice graduate or Associate’s Degree in a relevant discipline and three years of related experience.
• May require pipefitter certification.

Responsibilities

• Planning and setting up system routes, cutting openings, and installing hangers at proper pitches and elevations.
• Installing risers, branch outlets, expansion joints, pumps, gauges, and pressure regulators as required.
• Planning and completing routing and placement of systems leading to equipment, determining and positioning equipment at proper elevations.
• Joining, sealing, and testing systems and equipment for proper pressures, leak‑free joints, and operation.

Education
