Job summary

Forum Extended Care Services is seeking a Pharmacy Filling Technician for the Northern IL Pharmacy in Chicago, IL 60646. This full-time role operates on the 2nd shift (3:00 pm to 11:30 pm) with every other weekend and three holidays per year.

Eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. You will accurately prepare and label medications, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Excellent math, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills required.
• Current unencumbered license in the state of practice: Certified Pharmacy Technician (Illinois licensure before 2008 acceptable).
• Experience in long-term care or hospital pharmacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately retrieve, count, measure, prepare, package, and label medications and non-sterile compounds.
• Operate and properly maintain pharmacy equipment related to job duties.
• Comply with all applicable government regulations, standards of practice, company policies, procedures, and patient protocols.
• Assist in maintaining and managing inventory and supplies as they relate to work stations.
• Assist in resolving facility/patient problems under emergency conditions.
• Take part in quality improvement programs to meet company and accreditation standards.
