Job summary

Actalent in Cary, NC seeks a certified Pharmacy Technician for a contract role supporting referral processing and patient data entry. You will verify prescriptions, create patient profiles from scanned documents, and communicate with providers to ensure complete and accurate information before processing by other teams.

The ideal candidate holds a CPhT certification, has 2 years of pharmacy experience, and is organized with strong time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Current CPhT Certification required and in good standing
• 2 years pharmacy experience preferred
• High School Diploma required
• Healthcare experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Review referral contents for completeness and accuracy
• Create a patient profile from scanned or faxed information
• Conduct initial prescription check for clinical accuracy

• Update progress notes to aid workflow
• Enter provider information (NPI) accurately
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Responsibilities

Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. Normally receives no instruction on routine work general instructions on new assignments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Review contents of referral to ensure complete and accurate information has been received Create a patient profile from a scanned or faxed image by entering correct patient and provider information to ensure all other groups can successful serve the patient Conduct initial check of prescription to ensure clinical accuracy for processing Communicate with providers regarding referral status prescription clarification missing information or patient concerns so that all information is collected and accurate before it reaches other teams for furthering processing Updating concise progress notes to ensure other roles within the workflow are able to quickly assess the status of the referral Enter new provider information i.e. National Provider Identifier accurately into the system so that the Business Intelligence group can complete their reporting Perform other duties as assigned

Start date Sept 8th Pay $23/HR 9am-6pm 11 to 8pm after the revierifcation project CPhT NC registration Not guaranteed for conversion but if good employees their pay will be $22 FTE During reverification period since its onsite everyday 9-6pm, only through reverification, to be converted 11am-8pm then hybrid afterwards, this is of Cary.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
