Job summary

Red Gold Tomatoes is seeking a Parts Room Attendant to assist in operating the store room and maintaining the machine parts inventory. You will help evaluate department progress and suggest improvements, while following management direction and procedures.

Responsibilities include inventory verification, CMMS data entry, cycle counting, parts retrieval for projects, stocking, and keeping the store area clean and organized.

Qualifications

• HSD or GED or equivalent experience required.
• Mechanical aptitude required for parts handling and equipment.
• 1 year minimum in industrial mechanics or parts room desirable.
• Computer skills including MS Office are expected.

Responsibilities

• Verify machine parts inventory in Store Room.
• Enter new stock into CMMS and perform cycle counts.
• Release parts to authorized personnel for projects and document usage.
• Maintain minimums and complete work orders and parts entry.
• Stock shelves and verify locations; assist with housekeeping of the store area.

JOB SUMMARY

This position assists in operating the store room and maintaining the machine parts inventory. Duties also include assisting in evaluating overall progress of the department and make appropriate suggestions. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any item at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Inventory Control

• Inventory verification of machine parts in Store Room
• New stock entering into CMMS – Computerized Maintenance Management System
• Cycle counting and adjustments to inventory

Retrieval of Parts

• Releasing parts from closed parts room and pole bar to authorized personnel for project work
• Documenting machine parts usage

Project Work

• Maintain minimums in selected categories
• Work order completion
• Work order parts entry

Stocking

• Stocking shelves with incoming parts
• Entering receipts into inventory
• Verifying machine parts location

Housekeeping

• Cleaning of Store Room & Pole Barn

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma, General Educational Development Diploma (GED) or equivalent experience
• Classes / certifications valuable but not required
• Mechanical Aptitude required
• 1 year minimum industrial mechanics or parts room experience desirable
• Computer ability (MS Office)
