Job summary

Hunter Truck in Uniontown, PA is hiring a Parts Counter Person to serve customers and the service team with accurate parts and friendly service.

You will pull, fill, and prepare orders, handle billing, assist with inventory, and support outside sales while maintaining professional appearance and health and safety policies.

The role requires a high school/technical certificate or 3–6 months related experience, a valid driver's license, and ASE or related certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• College or technical school certificate preferred, or 3–6 months of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license required; ASE or Medium/Heavy Truck Parts Specialist certifications are a plus.
• Ability to read instructions, write basic reports, and communicate clearly with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist retail and shop customers with selecting parts, providing product information, quotes, and guidance on companion items and specials.
• Deliver exceptional service to internal and external customers with a professional, friendly approach.
• Pull, fill, and prepare orders; set up shipments, deliveries, and pick-ups; ensure all internal requests are billed correctly.
• Manage inventory issues; notify Parts Manager of out-of-stock items, locate parts from outside sources, and submit emergency orders when needed.
• Follow up on backordered or special-order parts with customers and service advisors.
• Support outside sales representatives and solicit assigned accounts by phone.
• Handle transactions, including payments, credit authorizations, issuing returns, and ensuring accurate invoices.
• Maintain accurate records of repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special orders.
• Keep counter areas and equipment clean, participate in training programs, and stay current on product updates.
• Maintain a professional appearance and follow all health and safety policies.
