Job summary

U.S. LUMBER, an SBP brand, is hiring for a 2nd Shift Part-Time Warehouse Associate in our Winder, GA distribution branch. Hours are Mon–Fri, 1:00 PM–7:00 PM EST. Responsibilities include picking, packing, reading orders, and assisting shipping/receiving as needed.

The role requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Solid, dependable history of safe, consistent work
• Experience utilizing material handling equipment, such as forklifts and combi-lifts.

Responsibilities

• Band, wrap, and tape products before shipment.
• Read tickets, SKUs, UPC labels and reports.
• Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, matching orders.
• Move materials to designated areas and read shipping orders.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Follow safety procedures and use body mechanics for lifting.

U.S. LUMBER, an SBP brand is currently hiring for a 2nd Shift Part-Time Warehouse associate in our Winder, GA distribution branch.

Mon - Friday, 1p- 7p EST.

Essential Functions:

• Band, wrap, tape products before being shipped
• Maintain work area and be organized
• Identify and read tickets, SKUs, UPC labels and reports
• Great attention to detail and accuracy - be able to stand and work on your feet throughout shift as normal routine
• Be able to bend, stoop, reach, twist, squat, push, pull, move, and lift to 50lbs
• Materials Handling
• Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.
• Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
• Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
• Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.
• Marking materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
• Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program. Safety
• Complies with all OSHA safety requirements, work rules and regulations
• Utilizes proper body mechanics when lifting objects up to 50 pounds, and gets assistance for lifts of greater than 50 pounds
• Reports unsafe conditions and behaviors to their supervisor
• Maintains the cleanliness of their work areas General/Administrative
• Supports the company vision and mission, and demonstrates the corporate core values in all professional activities.
• Complies with all OSHA safety requirements, work rules and regulations.
• Compiles and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
• Follows systems and procedures outlined in company manuals.
• Maintains departmental housekeeping standards.
• All other duties as requested by management.
