Job summary

Great Lakes Cheese in La Crosse, Wisconsin is seeking a Pallet Stacker to ensure smooth operation of the case packing and palletizing lines. You will monitor equipment, adjust settings, and support line workers to meet production targets while upholding safety and quality standards.

This role requires basic understanding of manufacturing processes, the ability to read production reports, and willingness to perform a variety of tasks on a fast-paced production floor.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and related equipment.
• Ability to make minor decisions based on standard practices.
• Ability to read and prepare production reports and comprehend production worksheets.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operation of conveyors and packing equipment.
• Control and adjust settings on machinery as necessary.
• Operate pallet turner and shrink-wrap equipment.
• Replace rolls and parts on Matrix equipment as needed.
• Ensure quality and appearance of packaged products.
• Check last case on order and first case on upcoming order.
• Assist with line setup and changeovers between areas.
• Provide boxes and supplies to line workers.
• Assist line workers as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies and Good Manufacturing Practices.
