Job summary

The Great Lakes Cheese, Inc is seeking a Pallet Stacker to ensure smooth operation of case packing and palletizing lines in our La Crosse facility. You will monitor spiral cooler and conveyors, adjust settings, and support line workers to maintain quality output.

Applicants should have a basic understanding of manufacturing processes, be able to read production reports, and possess a high school diploma or GED. Safety policies and GMPs are essential in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and related equipment.
• Ability to make minor decisions based on standard practices.
• Ability to read and prepare production reports and comprehend production worksheets.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operation of spiral cooler, product packing conveyor, box gluer and matrix labeler.
• Control and adjust settings on equipment as necessary.
• Operate pallet turner and pallet shrink-wrap machines.
• Replace ribbon roll and sticker tag rolls on Matrix.
• Ensure quality and appearance of package.
• Check last case on order and first case on the new order.
• Set up line, packing area and assist with changeover between lidder and sealer bar area.
• Supply line workers with boxes and other necessary supplies.
• Assist line workers as necessary.
• All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.
• All GLC employees are expected to produce our products in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
