Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a Second Shift Warehouse Pallet Loader in Kenosha, WI. The role loads pallets for transport, inspects trailers, and maintains a clean, safe workspace. You must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and work Sundays through Fridays with varying shift days off.

Starting pay is $25.40 per hour, including a $1.00 2nd shift premium. Benefits, weekly pay, and potential for growth accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Prior industrial vehicle experience is required.
• You must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed - holidays are very important to our customers!
• We have frozen products - your ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions is required while you're here.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions).
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage and a background check.
• Prior warehouse experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pallets for transport by shrink-wrapping and securing them with load bars or straps, then load onto trucks or trailers in the correct sequence per load sheet; hand-stacking when necessary.
• Inspect trailer interiors for cleanliness, verify pallets are loaded onto the correct truck, and set refrigeration units to the appropriate temperature.
• Maintain a clean work environment through daily housekeeping, and uphold the company's mission, values, and policies while performing other assigned duties.
