Job summary

Paycom - ATS is hiring at its Weiler Forestry Facility in LaGrange, GA for an entry level Painter role. The position runs Tue-Thu from 4:30 PM to 4:30 AM, with 36 scheduled hours and 40 paid, plus a $1/hour shift premium.

The successful candidate will prepare surfaces, apply masking, and operate the curing oven while ensuring quality. Responsibilities include cleaning equipment and wash bays, loading materials, and maintaining safety standards on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

  • Paint surfaces and prepare parts for coating.
  • Operate curing oven and monitor paint quality.
  • Apply masking to parts and machines before painting.
  • Remove masking after painting.
  • Clean wash bay, tanks, hoses and equipment.
  • Move painted articles to the curing oven and back.
  • Support forklift operations as needed.
  • Follow all safety guidelines at all times.

Job Details: Job Location: Weiler Forestry Facility - LaGrange, GA, Salary Range: $18.00Hourly, HOURS FOR THIS POSITION- TUESDAY-THURSDAY 4:30 PM -4:30 AM- 36 HOURS, BUT PAID FOR 40. EARN $1/HOUR SHIFT PREMIUM.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Cleans and prepares surfaces of articles to be painted.
  • Manages curing oven and identifies quality issues with the paint.
  • Applies masking to parts and machines before final painting.
  • Removes masking from parts when the painting is done.
  • Cleans wash bay, tanks, hoses, nozzles, drying chamber, paint fixtures, hooks, and other assorted equipment.
  • Loads materials into the work area and transports painted articles to and from the curing oven.
  • Monitors the soap and phosphatizes in the wash mix to assure quality.
  • Removes imperfections in the pre-paint finish utilizing orbital and manual sanding equipment.
  • Fork Truck Driver as needed.
  • Works in a safe manner at all times, following all safety guidelines. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Paint Specific Right-to-Know Training Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both over the phone and in person. Ability to read, write, and comprehend documents and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to internal and external individuals and groups. Ability to display active listening skills and ask the appropriate questions.
