Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Paint/Epad Technician to join our manufacturing team in Georgia. The role covers painting preparation, masking, curing oven operation, and moving parts between stages. You will load materials, monitor wash operations, and may perform forklift duties as needed.

The environment is safety-focused with exposure to fumes and loud machinery. The position requires attention to quality, the ability to read and follow instructions, and the physical capacity to lift up to 50

Responsibilities

  • Clean and prepare surfaces of articles to be painted.
  • Mask parts and machines before painting and remove masking after work.
  • Operate curing oven and monitor paint quality for issues.
  • Load materials, move painted articles, and transport to/from curing oven.
  • Maintain wash bay equipment and perform basic maintenance as needed.
  • Perform forklift duties as required and ensure safe operation.

HOURS FOR THIS POSITION- TUESDAY-THURSDAY 4:30 PM -4:30 AM- 36 HOURS, BUT PAID FOR 40. EARN $1/HOUR SHIFT PREMIUM.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCleans and prepares surfaces of articles to be painted.Manages curing oven and identifies quality issues with the paint.Applies masking to parts and machines before final painting.Removes masking from parts when the painting is done.Cleans wash bay, tanks, hoses, nozzles, drying chamber, paint fixtures, hooks, and other assorted equipment.Loads materials into the work area and transports painted articles to and from the curing oven.Monitors the soap and phosphatizes in the wash mix to assure quality.Removes imperfections in the pre-paint finish utilizing orbital and manual sanding equipment.Fork Truck Driver as needed.Works in a safe manner at all times, following all safety guidelines. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Paint Specific Right-to-Know Training Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both over the phone and in person. Ability to read, write, and comprehend documents and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to internal and external individuals and groups.
