Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Painter (2nd Shift) in Tulsa, OK to prepare, mix, and apply paint and coatings in a metal fabrication shop. The role emphasizes safe, high‑quality finishes on metal components during a busy production flow.

Responsibilities include surface prep, paint mixing, operating spray equipment, inspecting finishes, and adhering to safety protocols. The 2nd shift runs 4:00 PM–12:30 AM, with lifting up to 75 lbs and non‑climate‑controlled shop conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience with paint prep, mixing, and spray application.
• Proficiency in maintaining quality finishes on metal parts.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting including cleaning, sanding and masking.
• Mix paints according to formulas, ensure correct viscosity and color.
• Operate spray equipment to apply coatings evenly on metal components.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and perform touch-ups as needed.
• Move and lift parts up to 75 lbs and maintain a clean work area.
