Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Aerospace Parts Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working in a safe manner, adhering to all company safety policies, be a champion of safety, and be responsible for applying paint and coatings to aerospace parts and components, ensuring they meet industry standards and specifications. This role requires attention to detail, precision, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Works in a safe manner, adheres to safety policies and procedures, and ensures those working in the same area are working safely
  • Prepares surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary
  • Apply primers, paints, and coatings using various techniques such as spraying, brushing, or dipping
  • Inspects painted parts for quality and adherence to specifications
  • Maintain and clean painting booth, equipment and work areas
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet production deadlines
  • Document work processes and maintain accurate records

Required Skills:

  • Previous experience in industrial painting, preferably in the aerospace industry
  • Knowledge of painting techniques and materials
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Basic computer skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds
  • Frequently work near heavy machinery or equipment
  • Demands of a manufacturing environment

Required Experience:

  • A minimum of at least 1 year experience painting in the aerospace industry or related field.

Level of Education:

  • High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
