Geater Machining & Manufacturing, Co. is seeking a skilled Painter to mix, prepare, and apply coatings to parts, ensuring aesthetic quality and corrosion resistance per NADCAP requirements.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, mixing paints, applying coatings (including conveyor dipping), surface prep, selecting fixtures, inspecting finished work, and maintaining equipment. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 6–12 months related experience, English fluency, ability to read

Qualifikationen

• Read, write and speak English fluently.
• Operate and use required tools and equipment safely.
• Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
• Read and interpret documents such as blueprints, specifications, safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
• Calculate figures and formulas that pertain to the work area.
• Computer literate.
• Flexibility to work inside of a fast-pace environment which may ask for quick change in product being produced.
• Work well in a team environment, demonstrate good communication skills, and maintain a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Aufgaben

• Read blueprints, sketches, or specifications to determine prepping/de-prepping.
• Mix paints and inks with proper thinner to obtain correct consistency for application.
• Apply paint in accordance with product requirements; may include conveyor dipping.
• Prepare surfaces of parts for painting.
• Select holding fixtures, attachments, accessories, and materials for proper application of paints.
• Verify conformance of finished work to specs using measuring devices.
• Read calipers; follow NADCAP requirements.
• Communicate with engineers and production staff to resolve problems.
• Clean and maintain equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
