Job summary

United Alloy is seeking a paint line worker for the 2nd shift to prep and assemble fabricated components and apply powder coating per customer quality requirements. The role emphasizes performance, quality preservation, and efficiency in a manufacturing setting.

Reports to the Operations Supervisor. Shift is 2:00 pm - 12:00 am, Monday - Thursday with OT as required. Competitive benefits and bonus opportunities accompany starting wages.

Qualifications

  • Must have exposure to powder paint application processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to operate overhead cranes and basic hand tools.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble fabricated components per customer requirements.
  • Apply powder coat and regulate paint gun settings.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on paint line equipment.
  • Ensure paint thickness meets specifications.

SUMMARY:This position preps and assembles fabricated components and materials in conjunction with customer quality requirements and United Alloy manufacturing philosophies. Performance, quality preservation, organization and efficiency are essential.

Shift:2 nd Shift 2:00 pm - 12:00 am, Monday - Thursday (OT as required)

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Willing and able to paint 100% of assigned hours for the length of employment at UA
  • Understands and can execute proper powder coat application techniques
  • Understands paint gun settings and can regulate as necessary
  • Is able to troubleshoot and make minor repairs to maintain equipment
  • Understands and can execute the required PM to paint line equipment
  • Is able to paint efficiently and effectively to meet UA's paint aesthetic and customer requirements
  • Is able to use equipment to check and verify paint thickness

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • The individual must have some exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes
  • This individual must have previous experience or exposure to powder paint application and processes
  • The individual must possess a keen sense of attention to detail
  • Must possess the ability to operate overhead cranes, tape measure, caliper, basic hand tools and air tools
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
  • Must possess manual dexterity
  • Must possess hand/eye coordination
  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must perform all duties in conjunction with UAI and ISO requirements
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds with an assist
