Job summary

Titan Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented individual for a painting position in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Responsibilities include retrieving parts and preparing surfaces for coating. Candidates must have 3+ years of spray painting experience and be able to perform physical tasks for long periods.

The role requires the ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes. Applicants should be able to work independently while maintaining safety and cleanliness in the workplace.

This position is second shift from Monday to Thursday, 3 pm to 1:30 am.

Description

Responsibilities:

• Retrieve parts from staging areas
• Help prep weldments for priming and finish coating
• Read and understand units of measure
• Apply a variety of surface coatings
• Maintain spray guns and equipment

Requirements:

• Must be accustomed to physical tasks for long periods of time. This includes standing, kneeling, lifting, bending, and using your hands and working with various materials.
• Regular attendance and daily punctuality are necessary
• Ability to work overtime when needed and occasional weekends required
• Extremely detailed orientated
• Able to maintain a safe and clean work environment while complying with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations
• Safely operate a forklift and overhead crane
• 3+ years of painting experience using a spray gun
• Familiar with and previous use of hand tools including grinder, sander, etc.
• Ability to work independently without supervision

Second shift hours: M‑Th 3 pm‑1:30 am
