Job summary

Hamilton-Ryker in Berea, KY is seeking a dedicated Painter to join our manufacturing team on the 2nd shift. You will clean, prep, sand blast, and apply automotive finish paint to meet strict standards, while maintaining color accuracy for lift trucks and other equipment.

This temp-to-hire role requires six months of painting experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, steel-toed shoes, and reliable attendance. Overtime on Fridays/Saturdays, weekly pay, and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must comply with client’s substance abuse and background check policy.
• Minimum six months experience in primer or automotive finish paint application.
• Experience in proper preparation of the area to be painted.
• Vocational training or post High School Certification in auto body repair/painting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Steel-toed shoes/boots required.
• Basic math skills required.
• Experience using air tools, hand tools, overhead cranes, etc.
• Ability to bend, twist, lift, kneel, reach, pull, squat, push, etc.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to quality product requirements.
• Promote safe work environment through PPE and safe operation of equipment.
• Perform routine cleaning of spray equipment and general housekeeping.

2nd Shift, Monday - Thursday, 3:30pm - 2:00 am (10-hour shifts)

Overtime Mandatory: Friday and/or Saturday 1:00pm – 9:00pm

Payrate

$19.40

What you will be doing

• Clean, sand blast, and apply paint to maintain standards and follow established procedures.
• Maintain proper color of lift truck to meet specifications.
• Maintain adherence for a quality product.
• Promote a safe work environment through safe behavior, safe operation of equipment and proper use of (PPE).
• Perform routine cleaning of spray equipment and general housekeeping.
• Maintain adherence to quality standards.
• Support and help enforce all company policies; including safety, housekeeping, environmental, financial, reporting, and discipline.

What we need from you:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or over
