Job summary

Pridgeon & Clay is seeking a 2nd shift Packer in Grand Rapids, MI. You will visually inspect finished parts and package them for shipment, using RF transactions to maintain inventory accuracy and ensure customer orders meet standards.

You will read and follow quality requirements, train new employees on processes, and report any non-conforming or mislabeled items to QA. A strong attendance record and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn difference between Pridgeon & Clay order numbers and customer order numbers.
• Ability to learn the location of parts and supplies within the department.
• Ability to learn how to perform Radio Frequency (RF) transactions.
• Ability to communicate well with co-workers.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Excellent work records (including attendance).

Responsibilities

• Periodically checks parts being packaged for visual defects, missing operations, or missed parts.
• Understand quality requirements and teach them to new employees.
• Report to Quality Assurance any non-conforming or mislabeled product.
