Job summary

Graham Packaging Company is hiring a Production Specialist for the West Chicago, IL facility on the 2nd shift (2:00 pm–10:00 pm, Mon–Fri). You will contribute to safe, efficient production and maintain GMP compliance in a fast-paced packaging environment.

The role involves packing, case making, inspecting finished products, and supporting general factory tasks. Starting pay is $19.85 per hour with a $0.30 differential, and opportunities to participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be able to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within prescribed routines and practices.
• Communicates effectively: conveys facts and information clearly both verbally and orally.
• Collaborates well with others: proactively contributes to group objectives and helps others.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safety, health, quality GMP policies and company procedures.
• Visually inspect finished product and ensure cases are properly sealed.
• Pack bottles according to customer specifications.
• Notify supervisor of potential problems with finished product or machinery.
• Assist with rework and heldware to ensure timely completion.
• Assist in training permanent and temporary workforce.
• Keep work area clean, orderly and safe; perform basic documentation.
• May perform basic stretch wrapper functions and support miscellaneous packaging tasks.
