Job summary

Old Dutch Foods in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a 2nd Shift Packaging Machine Operator to ensure packaging lines operate at target output and quality. You will set up, perform changeovers, perform basic maintenance, and conduct QA checks to maintain efficiency.

You will also keep logs, stock supplies, and collaborate with teammates to meet production goals. This is an on-site, full-time role with a starting pay of $26.14 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have some mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and follow the schedule and set and run packaging equipment accordingly.
• Ability to work as a team member respectfully under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure packaging machines run at set quantity and quality specifications.
• Setup, complete changeovers, shut down and/or drain the packaging machines per production schedule.
• Perform minor maintenance to keep the packaging equipment running.
• Report unrepaired problems to the supervisor within 10 minutes.
• Keep film, parts, and staging areas stocked for changeovers.
• Assist other PMOs with changeovers and coverage as needed to meet production needs.
• Log machine downtime and monitor equipment performance.
• Record data for quality checks and maintain a clean work area.
• Operate lift trucks and scissor lifts with proper authorization when required.
