Job summary

WebstaurantStore is seeking an Outbound Team Lead to maintain in-depth product and outbound knowledge, support the shift manager, and model our culture to drive engagement and meet daily goals.

You will guide daily operations, monitor performance with leadership, run team meetings, communicate goals, and flex into other departments as needed while upholding policies to ensure accurate outbound shipments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations to ensure productivity, quality, and goal achievement.
• Provide consistent feedback to employees on performance daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Lead daily team meetings to communicate expectations and best practices.
• Develop a cross-trained team capable of flexing into other departments.
• Maintain open communication with Outbound teams and management; adjust hours as needed.
• Set clear performance expectations and resolve issues promptly.
• Support other positions and departments to sustain overall operations.

Job Summary

The Outbound Team Lead maintains in-depth knowledge of our products and Outbound procedures and stays in regular contact with the shift manager and peers in each department to meet daily goals.This position identifies operating issues and takes corrective action as needed; this includes receiving and providing clear directions and serving as a role model of our culture to effectively communicate with employees and drive engagement.

Leadership

• Assist leadership in overseeing daily operations in the department to ensure a high level of productivity and quality while achieving operating goals; promote team adherence to Company policies and procedures
• Work closely with leadership to monitor and provide consistent feedback to employees on individual and team performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
• In collaboration with leadership, conduct daily team meetings to update employees on work expectations, task assignments, best practices and operating expectations
• Clearly communicate team goals, resolve problems as they arise, and answer any related questions
• Assist with developing a cross-trained team that can flex into other departments or jobs as needed
• Maintain a high level of communication with Outbound teams and management daily; partner with other team leads to flex hours where necessary
• Ensure that employees are consistently informed of their performance and progress
• Serve as a resource for all employees regarding job tasks, company policies and procedures and warehouse initiatives
• Report personnel issues to the department leadership to enable timely resolutions

Process

• Aid management in ensuring that our teams work towards satisfying customers through picking, prepping and completing outbound shipments efficiently, with a focus on accuracy and quality
• Manage the department's workflow daily, working with leadership to adjust to labor availability as needed.
• Work to identify trends in team performance, using outbound metrics to train individuals on the team and assess areas of weakness or strength
• Provide scorecards to individuals weekly and monthly to advise them on their overall performance
• Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals?
• Abide by all company and warehouse policies
• Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation?
