Job summary

WebstaurantStore is hiring an Outbound Material Handler to ensure orders are picked, consolidated, packed and shipped accurately and on time. You will use handheld scanners and ERP systems to locate and prepare items, operate forklifts and other equipment, and maintain a safe, efficient workspace.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to safety policies in a fast-paced distribution environment. No degree is required, and prior distribution experience is a plus.

Qualifications

1 year+ of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Retrieve items from racking accurately and efficiently, using handheld scanning devices and ERP system, completed on foot or using forklift equipment.
Sort and consolidate picked items using handheld scanning devices, preparing customer orders for shipment processing.
Pack products accurately and securely using our SPS system, focusing on providing an excellent customer experience.
Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following all protocols and safety rules.
Meet performance standards for efficiency, accuracy, and quality of work.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following safety guidelines and reporting hazards.
Collaborate with team and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
Follow company and warehouse policies and undertake additional duties as needed.
Flex into other positions and departments to support overall operation.

Job Summary

The Outbound Material Handler is responsible for ensuring that all orders are picked, consolidated, packed and shipped in a timely and accurate manner. These tasks must be completed to an efficient and accurate standard to ensure smooth outbound operations. This position requires use of our internal warehouse systems and various warehouse equipment, which may include Powered Industrial Trucks.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.

Experience

1 year+ of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required
