Job summary

Moog Inc. in Blacksburg, VA is seeking a 2nd shift Production Operator to support on-site manufacturing operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (or demonstrated ability to understand and apply English instructions) and a mechanical aptitude with good dexterity. You will perform assembly, electrical testing, soldering, blueprint reading, and documentation, with tools and equipment upkeep and potential minor rework per procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; otherwise ability to understand and apply verbal, written and computer work instructions in English.
• Quality conscious, mechanical aptitude, and good dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Complete basic assembly operations using required manufacturing documentation.
• Correctly store, clean and maintain tools, equipment and chemicals; verify calibration dates and seals.
• Perform electrical testing using automated test equipment.
• Solder, read from blueprints, and use microscopes.
• Complete paperwork required for each part, accurately & legibly.
• Perform minor rework per Standard Rework Procedures., Quality History Tag Instructions, or rework router.
