Job summary

RBC Bearings is looking for an individual to operate various equipment, including hydraulic presses and CNC machines, under supervision. Responsibilities include maintaining an orderly inventory of tools and equipment, performing offsets, and ensuring parts meet blueprint specifications.

The ideal candidate will perform light maintenance on tools and machines and maintain accurate production records while ensuring a clean work area. This role may involve other duties as assigned.

Overview

Under the direction of the supervisor, either directly or through a lead person, this individual is responsible for operating various pieces of equipment. Equipment can be hydraulic presses, hones, lathes, baking ovens, CNC equipment and other pertinent equipment. This individual will be required to keep an orderly inventory of all associated jigs, tools, dies, and measuring instruments. This person must be able to operate equipment at appropriate production levels, call up new programs and change collets.

Responsibilities

• Keep an orderly inventory of all associated jigs, tools, dies, and measuring instruments.
• Operate equipment at appropriate production levels, call up new programs and change collets.
• Perform offsets and change inserts when necessary to assure parts are manufactured to blue print specifications.
• Perform simple maintenance of tools (sharpening) and machines (lubrication).
• Maintain accurate production records and counts, maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Move work as required, do unusual or experimental work, and perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by assembly supervision either directly or through the lead person.
