Job summary

Motus Integrated Technologies in Holland, MI is seeking an Operations Supervisor for the 2nd shift to lead hourly production teams on a Tier 1 automotive line. You will ensure safety, quality, on-time delivery and cost control while driving continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on leadership, a track record of achieving KPIs, and experience with Lean/Six Sigma, IATF 16949 and APQP processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management or related field preferred; equivalent leadership experience considered.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a team of hourly production employees to meet safety, quality, delivery and productivity targets.
Drive safety culture and ensure OSHA compliance and safe work practices.
Monitor daily production performance and implement corrective actions to meet schedules.
Ensure adherence to standardized work instructions, quality standards, and customer requirements.
Investigate issues using root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
Coordinate staffing, overtime and cross-training to meet operational demands.
Partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Materials and HR to resolve production issues and drive plant performance.
Lead shift start-up meetings and communicate KPIs with regular performance feedback.
Monitor labor efficiency, scrap, downtime and OEE to identify improvement opportunities.
Support new product launches, APQP activities and process validations.
Drive continuous improvement via Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
Maintain compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001 (if applicable) and company policies.
