Job summary

CTDI is seeking a Non-CDL Truck Driver for a local route with home daily. The 1st shift runs 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with 40–50 hours weekly and overtime opportunities. Pay is $24.12 per hour plus 10% shift differential, paid weekly every Thursday.

Job duties include pre/post-trip inspections, cargo loading, and customer service, while complying with DOT regulations. Requirements include at least 1 year of delivery-driving experience or completion of CTDI training, a valid license

Qualifications

• 1+ years recent commercial delivery-driving experience or willingness to complete training.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Reliability, adaptability, and dependability are essential.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect truck pre- and post-trip.
• Complete vehicle inspection sheets, logs, and bills of lading.
• Ensure cargo is loaded, checked, and secured.
• Assist with loading/unloading of cargo.
• Obtain proper signatures on shipping documents.
• Monitor maintenance and repairs of the truck.
• Provide professional customer service and represent CTDI positively.
• Follow all DOT and warehouse safety regulations.

Non-CDL Truck Driver - LOCAL - HOME DAILY - OVER-TIME AVAILABLE

• Position: Non-CDL Truck Driver
• 1st Shift: Monday to Friday 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM

• Pay Schedule: Weekly paycheck (every Thursday)

Duties And Responsibilities

• Inspects the truck pre- and post-trip.
• Accurately complete vehicle inspection sheets, fuel consumption logs, daily log sheets, bills of lading, vehicle trip records, and expense reports.
• Ensures all cargo is loaded, checked, and safely secured during transit.
• Assists with or oversees loading and unloading of cargo to ensure secure transit.
• Acquires all proper signatures on shipping/receiving documents.
• Monitors the maintenance and repair of the truck.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally and representing them company positively.
• Responsible for following all Federal and State DOT regulations as well as warehouse safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills And Experience

• 1+ years recent commercial delivery-driving experience or willing to complete a company driving training program
• Valid state-issued driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
• Capacity to demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and dependability.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills And Experience

• Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus
• Strong commitment to customer service

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 50 lbs., if necessary
• Flexible early morning shifts
• Comfortable sitting for extended periods
