Job summary

Eureka Recycling is a nonprofit, social enterprise focused on materials recovery. The MRF Maintenance Assistant role supports the maintenance team in performing preventative maintenance and ensuring adherence to plant policies and safety procedures.

The position is full-time, hourly, with a schedule from 12:00 pm to 08:00 pm, and occasional later hours or weekends. Compensation ranges from $20.00 to $23.00 per hour plus 100% employee-only health insurance, life and long-term disability coverage,

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds consistently.
• Must be able to stand and walk for 8 hours a day.
• Fluency in Spanish is required.
• Experience with maintenance and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Remove debris from polishing screens and belts.
• Grease mobile equipment and sorting equipment.
• Clean and test optical sort nozzles to ensure optimal operation.
• Follow lock-out/tag-out and safety procedures.
• Use hand and power tools to perform tasks.
• Report malfunctions and repair needs to appropriate personnel.
• Support maintenance staff on other projects as needed.
