Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Willard, OH is seeking a 2nd Shift Millwright Journeyman to maintain and repair equipment across the facility. You’ll lead preventative maintenance, coordinate schedules and work with safety standards to minimize downtime.

You’ll bring a state-approved Mechanical Maintenance Journeyman Card or five years of industry experience, with hands-on electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic and robotic skills. Lift truck operation is required.

Qualifications

• State approved Mechanical Maintenance Journeyman Card or five years of industry experience.
• Ability to develop, implement, or improve preventative maintenance measures.
• Experienced electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and robotic background.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA, the National Electric Code, and the Fire Code.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, along with effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Must have a valid lift truck operators license or successfully complete lift truck training.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions both inside and outside.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate schedules and follow up on assignments through completion.
• Establish preventative maintenance methods to reduce unscheduled downtime.
• Complete the necessary preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment as scheduled.
• Attend required safety classes and follow all safety rules.
• Repair and recondition equipment throughout the facility as required.
• Complete and maintain accurate documentation of mechanical maintenance activities.
• Operate lift truck, cranes, welders and other equipment to perform maintenance duties.
• Train new apprentices as assigned.
• Abide by all OSHA, NEC, and Fire codes.
• Maintain quality and production standards following ISO and company procedures.
• Recognize concerns and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Plan and recommend future equipment and facility requirements.
• Assist in the selection and development of mechanical maintenance personnel.
• Perform Maintenance tasks as assigned by Maintenance Leadership.
