Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials NA, Inc. on a 2nd shift seeks a Material Handler to apply metal to orders and process material per work orders.

You will operate cranes, forklifts, and related equipment, perform setup notes, verify specifications, and record measurements while maintaining a clean, safe work area on the warehouse floor. Responsibilities include handling material, weighing and tagging, scrap segregation, and assisting in packaging.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Perform basic math skills.
• Safety mindful and compliant with procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
• Pull, inspect and verify product before processing.
• Set up equipment to run material per work order specifications.
• Process setup notes and record measurements per instructions.
• Enter/delete material identification tags per written instructions.
• Assist in packaging of material per work instructions and work orders.
• Perform preventive maintenance and general cleaning.
• Identify, record, and segregate scrap and non-conforming material.
• Provide feedback to supervision on machine efficiency and product quality.
• Train others when required and participate in lean/quality activities.
