Job summary

Avtec Finishing in New Hope, MN is seeking a Production Racker to prepare metal parts for plating and finishing. You will rack/unrack parts, follow instructions, and maintain quality at a steady pace in a hands-on environment.

No prior metal finishing experience is required; we will train the right person who is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to follow processes. Overtime opportunities and a signing bonus are part of the compensation landscape.

Qualifications

• Must have strong attendance and punctuality.
• Able to read, understand and follow written work instructions.
• Able to work in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Capable of staying focused during repetitive tasks.
• Accepts coaching and can learn new tasks.

Responsibilities

• Rack and unrack metal parts before and after plating or finishing.
• Read and follow job paperwork and written work instructions.
• Select and use proper racks and tooling for each job.
• Handle customer parts carefully to prevent damage.
• Inspect parts for defects or concerns.
• Maintain efficient pace while protecting quality.
• Keep parts organized and identified throughout process.
• Follow safety, quality and production procedures.
• Work with team to keep production moving.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
