Job summary

Fives is seeking a 2nd Shift Mechatronics Technician to install, repair and maintain electro-mechanical and electrical components on manufacturing equipment. You will debug PLCs, wire power controls, and read schematics to ensure smooth operation of conveyors and related systems.

The candidate should have an Associate Technical Degree or equivalent automation experience, plus basic hand tool proficiency and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• Experience in debugging input/outputs of electrical system.
• Knowledge of mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams and pneumatics helpful.
• Basic hand tools required.
• A positive attitude with technical aptitude or background.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electro-mechanical, electrical, and electronic components on manufacturing equipment and conveying systems.
• Install and debug mechanical installation of conveying system apparatus (Pneumatic, hydraulic).
• PLC troubleshooting and debugging.
• Install, repair and replace defective parts in conveyors, generators, motors, controllers, switchboards and wiring.
• Wiring motor power controls, reading blueprints and schematics.
• Test wire connections with test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope).
• Assemble junction boxes, back plates and harnesses per print.
