Job summary

Sheridan is hiring a Machine Repair Technician to support production equipment and facility operations. This is a 2nd shift role (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) with consistent weekday hours and a rotating on-call schedule.

This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and experience in a manufacturing environment. The position offers $23.00/hour or higher, depending on experience, plus an additional $1.00/hour shift differential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of mechanical technician experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Understanding of Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures.
• Ability to thread pipe and solder copper pipes.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Maintain, alter, rebuild and adjust equipment and facilities, including fabricating parts.
• Study recurring facility failures to find solutions.
• Attend to RTU air conditioners, filter changes, wash condensers, tighten belts.
• Maintain inventory of supplies for building and manufacturing.
• Wood working projects.
