Job summary

Sheridan is seeking a Machine Repair Technician to support production equipment and facility operations on a 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) with weekday hours and rotating on-call weekends. The role emphasizes strong mechanical troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing setting and offers competitive pay with a shift differential.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED and at least 2 years of mechanical technician experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical technician experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset.
• Understanding of Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures.
• Ability to thread pipe and solder copper pipes.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Maintain, alter, rebuild and adjust equipment and facilities including fabricating parts.
• Investigate recurring facility failures to identify solutions.
• Attend to RTU air conditioners, filter changes, wash condensers, tighten belts.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and materials for building and manufacturing operations.
• Wood working projects.
