Job summary

Valmet invites you to join its Federal Way, WA site as a Second Shift Mechanical Assembler, responsible for assembling gearboxes, subassemblies, and operating boring bar, drill press, milling and honing machines. Candidates should have a high school diploma and manufacturing experience; three to five years preferred.

Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts, quality inspection practices, and a commitment to safety are valued.

Qualifications

• High school education with manufacturing experience; 3–5 years preferred.
• Experience with papermaking machinery is a plus, but not required.
• Willing to train candidates with initiative and motivation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble gearboxes and subassemblies.
• Set up and operate boring bar, drill press, milling and honing machines.
• Safely run overhead cranes and forklifts while maintaining quality standards.
