You will work with hand, power, pneumatic, and electrical tools, and read blueprints to ensure quality and efficiency. This contract-to-hire role offers a 4-day workweek and a durable on-site setup.

Generator Assembler | 2nd Shift

4-Day Workweek | Monday–Thursday

Looking for a hands‑on manufacturing position where you can put your mechanical assembly, wiring, and power tool experience to work?

We’re hiring a Generator Assembler to build, wire, and test high‑quality generator products in a fast‑paced sheet metal fabrication and assembly environment. In this role, you’ll work from blueprints, wiring schematics, and detailed work instructions while using a variety of hand, power, pneumatic, and electrical tools.

What You’ll Do

Assemble & Build

• Assemble mechanical and electro‑mechanical components used in generator products.
• Use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and electrical/electronic equipment to complete assemblies.
• Set up equipment and workstations based on the product or department.
• Work across multiple production areas as needed to keep production moving efficiently.

Wire & Test

• Make electrical and wiring connections according to specifications.
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Perform testing using established procedures and test equipment.
• Troubleshoot basic assembly or quality issues as they arise.

Inspect for Quality

• Inspect finished and in‑process assemblies to ensure they meet company and customer specifications.
• Use inspection equipment and quality processes to verify accuracy.
• Follow job tickets, manuals, work instructions, and verbal directions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established production procedures.

Work Safely & Efficiently

• Follow all safety procedures and properly use required PPE.
• Maintain an organized and efficient workstation.
• Communicate effectively with team members, leads, and supervisors.
• Support continuous improvement efforts and help identify better ways to improve quality and productivity.

What We’re Looking For

Must‑Have Qualifications

• 1+ year of mechanical assembly experience
• 1+ year of hands‑on experience using hand and power tools
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints
• Ability to read and interpret electrical/wiring schematics
• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment
• Basic computer skills to verify and sort production jobs
• Ability to follow job tickets, manuals, work instructions, and verbal directions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
• Ability to read and write English
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented manufacturing environment

• Electro‑mechanical assembly experience
• Sheet metal fabrication or assembly experience
• Experience with pneumatic or electrical tools

This position is located in a sheet metal fabrication and assembly environment with a moderate noise level. The work is fast‑paced and hands‑on, requiring regular use of:

• Hand and power tools
• Pneumatic tools

Dress Code / PPE

• Steel‑toed shoes required
• Pants required

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
