Job summary

Nestlé USA in Bohemia, NY is seeking a Mechanic A on the 2nd shift to keep production equipment running at peak performance. You will handle complex repairs and troubleshoot across mechanical, electrical, and control systems while mentoring others and driving safety and reliability.

Qualifications include 8+ years in maintenance (5+ in manufacturing), strong electrical background, and PLC experience preferred. Shift differential applies; overtime available.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
8+ years maintenance experience, 5+ years in manufacturing.
Strong electrical background; PLC programming preferred.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced mechanical, electrical, and electronic repairs.
Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam systems.
Lead or support root cause analysis and improvement projects.
Monitor plant systems (boilers, compressors, HVAC).
Read drawings and manuals to diagnose issues.
Mentor lower-level technicians and uphold SOPs and GMPs.
