Job summary

Western Smokehouse Partners is hiring a full-time Processing Team Member in Burlington, IA. The role involves producing raw meat products by receiving, grinding, mixing, stuffing, linking, cooking, and documenting to meet customer specs and USDA guidelines.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, QA checks, inventory control, labeling, and maintaining GMP-compliant production floors in a refrigerated environment, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing or food processing experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and follow batch recipes and SOPs.
• Familiarity with Vista Trac inventory system is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and food safety.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operational inspections of machines and equipment.
• Receive shipments and complete required inspections.
• Maintain and rotate inventory using FIFO.
• Scan ingredients into Vista Trac for traceability.
• Weigh, grind, mix, and portion ingredients per batch formulas.
• Set up and operate equipment to meet product requirements.
• Stuff meat into casings and ensure correct casing cuts.
• Hang and inspect meat sticks for quality; load smokehouses.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and production areas.
• Label product racks and verify accuracy of labels.
