Job summary

Dana Corp in Ohio is seeking a Material Supervisor to lead the materials team, overseeing receiving, inventory control and distribution to support production schedules. You will ensure safety, accuracy, and efficient operations across the warehouse, while coordinating with production and logistics teams.

You will drive cycle counts, ERP updates (SAP), and implement min/max replenishment strategies, aiming for high inventory accuracy and smooth material flow in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• College degree or some college preferred.
• 4+ years manufacturing experience.
• Experience with SAP/MRP systems.
• Leadership experience with 5+ associates.
• Safety-conscious with manufacturing safety training.
• Quality-focused with corrective actions and improvements.
• Ability to supervise, motivate and develop a team of material handlers and clerks.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles.
• Experience using ERP systems (SAP) to track, adjust and report material movements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee receiving, storing, and distributing materials to support production and shipping.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training to material handlers, clerks, and technicians.
• Monitor inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and update documentation in SAP or other ERP systems.
• Collaborate with production, logistics, procurement, and quality teams to resolve material flow issues.
• Plan and direct activities of Shipping/Receiving personnel.
• Coordinate outbound shipments and ensure accuracy of records.
• Maintain ISO/TS certification in material handling processes.
