Job summary

Dana Canada Corp. seeks a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor for the 2nd shift in Napoleon, OH. You will oversee inbound and outbound logistics, coordinate material flows, and lead a team of 5+ associates to meet production schedules.

  • MRP system experience (SAP).
  • Leadership – experience leading, managing 5+ associates.
  • Safety conscious – manufacturing safety training.
  • Quality conscious – corrective actions and improvements.
  • Ability to supervise, motivate, and develop a team of material handlers and clerks.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles.
  • Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP) to track, adjust, and report material movements.
  • Effective communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee receiving, storing, and distributing materials to support production and shipping schedules.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training to material handlers, clerks, and technicians.
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and document updates in SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Collaborate with production, logistics, procurement, and quality to resolve material flow issues.
  • Plan and direct activities and daily operations of Shipping/Receiving personnel.
  • Coordinate outbound shipments with staff.
  • Manage all inbound shipments.
  • Oversee cycle counts, discrepancies, and inventory accuracy.
  • Plan, implement, and improve storage, layout, and min/max replenishment.
  • Provide direction for label printing, receipts, and ASN accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate records for outbound shipments of work in process materials.
  • Verify and resolve receiving issues using system reports and paperwork.
  • Maintain ISO/TS certification in material handling processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Job Purpose
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee receiving, storing, and distributing materials to ensure timely support of production and shipping schedules.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training and guidance to material handlers, clerks, and technicians.
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and ensure proper documentation and system updates (e.g., in SAP or other ERP systems).
  • Collaborate with production, logistics, procurement, and quality teams to resolve material flow issues and support operational efficiency.
  • Plans and directs activities and daily operations of Shipping/Receiving personnel.
  • Coordinate all outbound shipments with personnel.
  • Manage all inbound shipments
  • Oversees and corrects cycle counts, discrepancies, and inventory accuracy.
  • Plans, implements, improves material storage, layout and min/max replenishment levels.
  • Provides direction and feedback participation for label printing, receipts, and ASN accuracy.
  • Coordinate and maintain accurate records for all outbound shipments of work in process materials.
  • Verify and resolve any receiving issues using the system generated reports and inbound paperwork.
  • Maintaining ISO/TS certification in all aspects of the material handling flow process.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.
Education and Qualifications
  • High school diploma required. College degree or some college preferred.
  • 4+ years in manufacturing experience. Union experience preferred.
