Job summary

Harry & David is seeking a Materials Handler for Shipping on the 563-2nd shift. The role involves building pallets, sorting products by SKU, and ensuring a steady flow of items for loading while complying with SQF guidelines.

Responsibilities include supporting the shipping line, maintaining quality and vendor standards, and cross-training as needed. Applicants should be able to lift up to 30 lbs, work in varying temperatures, and communicate effectively across all levels of staff.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: Some high school education is required.
• Ability to communicate with employees at all levels (peers, leadership, and employees).
• Basic reading skills (English).

Responsibilities

• Build pallets according to storage specifications and ensure pallet pattern meets requirements.
• Maintain QA and vendor compliance specifications.
• Physically stack and unstack pallets.
• Support the shipping line by maintaining a constant flow of product or removal.
• Read SKU numbers and sort product by size/SKU for loading prep.
• Adhere to SQF guidelines and work with flexibility across departments.
