Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a 2nd shift Material Handler to coordinate material movement across departments and support production schedules. You will print and distribute pick tickets, perform computer transactions, and relay pull information to the Material Support team.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least one year of relevant experience; forklift certification is a plus. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and effective communication across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• At least one year of relevant experience preferred.
• Forklift certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates material movement between departments per routing requirements.
• Sorts questionable materials per Quality Control's request.
• Prints and distributes pick tickets and performs computer transactions as necessary.
• Organizes sequence of pulling material and relays information to Material Support.
• Ensures production schedules are met by timely and accurate processing and movement of goods, assists during peak times including operating material handling equipment and computer transactions.
• Ensures good communication and feedback with management, employees on their shift, and between shifts.
• Assists supervisor with Continuous Improvement Projects, evaluation of new equipment, training needs and interviewing/hiring.
• Monitors and enforces shop floor control systems.
• Follows safety procedures, wears PPE, identifies unsafe conditions.
• Studies systems and procedures for improvement and proposes changes.
• Other duties as assigned.
