Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville in West Bend is seeking a 2nd shift Material Handler to support outbound shipments and stock control, reporting to the Production Supervisor.

You will operate a forklift, move metal parts, perform safety inspections, and participate in Lean Manufacturing practices. Candidates should have a high school diploma, about 2 years forklift experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years forklift experience preferred, ideally in a metal fabrication shop.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience moving large metal objects is a plus.
• Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads, and moves materials within plant, yard, or work site.
• Loads/unloads onto pallets and shelves by hand.
• Conveys materials to designated areas using forklift or carts.
• Occasionally operates industrial truck to assist loading or movement.
• Completes daily forklift inspections before starting.
• Supports 6S housekeeping and safety compliance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

2nd Shift Material Handler - West Bend Job Locations US-WI-West Bend Job ID 2026-4923 # of Openings 1 Category Manufacturing Type Regular Full-Time Overview

The material handler will report to the Production Supervisor in the West Bend plant. This position is responsible for maintaining and verifying the records and documentation of outbound shipments from the lines and keeping stock for all stations within the department.

Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, performing any combination of following duties: Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Conveys materials to or from storage or work sites to designated area, using a forklift, hand truck, electric dolly, or other device.
• May occasionally operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Required to fill out an daily inspection before starting up the forklift
• Assists with routine or general housekeeping tasks as they relate to the plants 6s plan.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

• 2 years of forklift experience ideally in a metal fabrication shop

• Previous experience with moving large metal objects.
• Previous experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
