Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a 2nd Shift Material Handler to receive, move, and package materials for production, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will support inventory control tasks such as cycle counts and physical inventories when needed, and work with the inventory system to record transactions.

You must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a forklift license.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving and shipping functions per procedure using the inventory control system.
• Load and unload freight.
• Perform necessary transactional functions related to inventory receipts, issues, sub inventory movement and shipments.
• Perform general area housekeeping.
• Assist team members to achieve goals and cover in other areas as needed.
• Conduct continuous improvement projects as needed.
• Conduct physical inventories as scheduled.
• Monitor and improve inventory accuracy and processing times.
