Job summary

QuidelOrtho is seeking a Material Handler II for its Carlsbad, CA facility on the 2nd shift (M-F, 2:00 pm–10:30 pm PT). Under supervision, you will process daily distribution tasks to support in-plant logistics, including loading, unloading, moving and transacting materials in a cGMP environment.

You will perform inventory counts, pack shipments, operate forklifts, and ensure accurate transactions in the JDE system, while following safety and quality guidelines and supporting production needs.

Qualifications

• Requires forklift certification and safe operation of warehouse equipment.
• Experience with Excel, Word, and data entry.
• Hands-on experience shipping products and supplying materials to production orders.
• Knowledge of inventory control and cycle counting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Handle shipping, receiving, storing, issuing, and delivering materials and supplies.
• Perform physical counts of inventory.
• Packs products for shipments.
• Transport materials between departments and facilities.
• Transact inventory movements in the JDE system with accuracy.
• Select materials for work orders and sales orders.
• Follow hazardous materials transport regulations.
• Ensure proper counting, staging and storage of materials.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Adhere to GMP and safety procedures.
• Assist in training other employees.
• Support departmental policies and contribute to projects.
