Job summary

QuidelOrtho in Carlsbad, CA is hiring a Material Handler II for second shift (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm PT, M–F) onsite. You will perform shipping, receiving and material movements in a fast-paced, cGMP environment, ensuring accurate inventory and transactions in the JDE system.

Requirements include a high school diploma, forklift certification, and proficiency with Excel and Word. Strong communication, math, and multi-tasking skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift certification required and safe operation knowledge.
• Proficiency with basic warehouse equipment and order pickers.
• Computer skills including Excel, Word, and data entry.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills and cycle count knowledge.
• Experience shipping via common freight carriers.
• Experience supplying materials to production work orders.
• Good time management and multi-tasking abilities.
• Commitment to QuidelOrtho QMS per ISO and FDA regulations.
• This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Performs shipping, receiving, storing, issuing, and delivering materials and supplies.
• Conducts physical inventory counts and packs products for shipment.
• Transports materials between departments and facilities.
• Updates inventory movements in the JDE system with accuracy.
• Transacts materials for work orders and sales orders.
• Complies with hazardous substance transportation regulations.
• Ensures accurate counting, staging, and storage of materials.
• Operates forklifts and related material handling equipment in warehouses and cold storage.
• Follows SOPs and GMP guidelines and participates in safety training.
• Supports training of other employees and adheres to company policies.
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
