Job summary

AKG North America in Mitchell, SD is seeking a Material Handler for the 2nd shift (2PM-10PM, Mon–Fri). You will unload shipments, sort parts, and prepare weekly outbound shipments for Midwest distribution, while maintaining inventory updates and using SAP for tracking.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in manufacturing, a valid driver's license, forklift certification, and strong English communication skills. Basic computer skills and the ability to work with SAP are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment; receiving experience is a plus.
• Must have a Valid Drivers License.
• Forklift certification and ability to operate material-handling equipment.
• English communication skills required to follow work orders and communicate with team.
• Comfortable using computers and can learn SAP to locate and track parts.

Responsibilities

• Receive materials, review packing slips, and maintain accurate records.
• Unload incoming trucks, sort parts, and place materials on the welding line.
• Prepare and load weekly Midwest shipments; confirm shipping and delivery reports.
• Use SAP to locate, retrieve, and track inventory.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and notify Purchasing when replenishment is needed.
• Assist other Material Handlers as needed.
• Report issues to the Supervisor immediately.
• Follow all environmental, safety, and company policies.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
