Inventory Controller — First Shift (6am–2pm)

Job summary

AKG North American Operations Inc in Mitchell, SD is seeking an Inventory Clerk to manage inventory records, verify parts on a three-month rotation, locate and deliver parts to employees, and update the SAP system.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work the 6:00 AM–2:00 PM Monday–Friday shift, and experience in a manufacturing environment. You will generate reports, maintain inventory paperwork, and respond to inquiries while following AKG EMS policies.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be available and able to work the agreed shift.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Use SAP to update inventory records.
• Assist employees in locating parts using SAP to check location and quantities.
• Maintain a spreadsheet comparing actual vs. required inventory.
• Generate regular reports to support timely product arrival and inventory accuracy.
• Physically verify inventory every 3 months.
• Stay familiar with all parts used in assembly.
• Respond to inventory inquiries (email or verbal).
• Report issues to Supervisor or appropriate team member.
• Follow all AKG EMS policies and procedures.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Run daily Kanban reports.
• Confirm space availability in Location 560 (Weld) before warehouse transfers.
