Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking a reliable Material Handler/Forklift Operator in Columbia, IL to transport raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods within the facility. The role supports production lines on the 2nd shift, 4:00pm-2:30am with potential overtime.

Forklift operation and safety compliance are essential. Responsibilities include moving materials, inspecting loads, and maintaining inventory accuracy using warehouse systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred; ability to obtain certification on hire.
• Experience operating forklifts in manufacturing, chemical, or warehouse settings preferred.
• Experience with inventory control, RF scanners, and warehouse systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts to move materials throughout the facility.
• Deliver raw materials, packaging supplies, and production components to lines as needed.
• Move finished goods to warehouse or staging areas and inspect loads for accuracy.
• Load/unload shipments and verify quantities; perform daily safety checks.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and stage materials for production schedules.
• Follow OSHA and GMP safety policies and keep a clean, organized workspace.
• Support production, packaging, and warehouse teams to meet goals.
• Report safety concerns and inventory discrepancies promptly.
