Job summary

APL Logistics in Rialto, CA, is seeking a Senior Material Handler for the 2nd shift. This role focuses on loading, unloading, and moving customer products using forklift and related equipment, while ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficient warehouse operations.

You will perform inventory checks, complete reports, and support facility maintenance, with a requirement of at least two years forklift experience and certification. The position offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Preferred two (2) years forklift/tow motor experience required (fork lift certification required).
• Ability to operate forklift – both sit down and stand up, tow motor, motorized and non-motorized pallet jack; clamp, reach and slip sheet.
• Knowledge of inventory control and general warehouse procedures.
• Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures
• Ability to write legibly
• Must have basic math skills
• Ability to make decisions on customer acceptance based on past experience and fitness for use
• Must have attention to detail for continuous mental and visual attention
• Must be a Team Player
• Ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner

Responsibilities

• Pulling orders and loading/unloading using forklift or other equipment according to procedures.
• Locate and load customer products onto pallets and trays, ensuring accuracy and safety.
• Record units handled and complete order processing as required.
• Operate and maintain equipment, inspect trailers, and report defects to supervisor.
• Complete activity and statistical reports and assist in inventories.
• Support cleanliness and safety initiatives and assist with routine facility tasks.
