Job summary

Golden Pet Manufacturing is seeking a Material Handler for its Wisconsin facility. The role involves operating a forklift, processing ERP transactions, and maintaining clean, safe, and organized work areas in a fast-paced production environment.

You will support production by moving materials, logging inventory, and assisting with continuous improvement projects. Prior forklift certification and some manufacturing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Experience working with ERP systems preferred.
• Experience in a food or pet food manufacturing facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and quality mindset and follow all safety and quality guidelines and protocols.
• Operate forklift to move material and/or product throughout the plant and assist with receiving raw materials and loading trucks.
• Use scan gun to complete ERP transactions and associated paperwork.
• Protect employees and company safety by safe forklift operation and reporting incidents.
• Sort and place materials on racks or in designated areas according to sequence.
• Fill requisitions and distribute materials to production areas to maintain production rates.
• Record materials received or distributed and verify packing lists or product labels.
• Clean and maintain equipment, tooling and workspace, following cross-contamination protocols.
• Support other areas with production-related tasks and participate in continuous improvement.
• Assist with miscellaneous tasks as needed.
